In preliminary examination, students have to do with each of the three sections within a time limit of 20 minutes only. It means that the students can attempt one particular section under that stipulated time only. Previously students had advantage of utilizing their time according to their strength areas. But now this strategy needs to be changed and focus should be on increasing the speed and accuracy for all three sections equally.

For main examination no changes have been introduced. There will be sectional cut-off in both preliminary and main examination.

  1. Penalty for wrong answers

Penalty for wrong answers is applicable for both prelims and main examination. For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted.

  1. Final Merit List

Marks obtained in the main examination only will be considered for final merit listing. No interviews or group discussion round will be conducted.

  1. Calculation of Final Score

The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions are normalized using equi-percentile method.

It means that though the exams are held in different shifts and with different question sets, the students will not be at disadvantage due to variation in difficulty level.
