The State Bank of India has released SBI Junior Associates Recruitment 2018 notification. More than 8000 vacancies has been announced by SBI this year. Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join State Bank of India as a Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre, is required to register online for the Recruitment Process. Usually, SBI conducts the examination in three phases in order to carry out the complete recruitment process. The three steps that SBI follows for the recruitment are as follows:

1. Online Preliminary Examination (Objective Test).

2. Online Mains Examination (Objective Test and Descriptive Test).

3. Test of official or local language.

SBI Junior Associates examination dates schedule for: Candidate can register SBI Junior Associates application form from 20th January 2018 to 10th February 2018. The last date for printing the application from 25th February 2018. Admit cards for Preliminary exam will be updated on the official website by 6th June 2018 and for Main exam will be updated on 23rd July 2018. SBI Junior Associates Preliminary exam will be held on 23rd, 24th & 30th June 2018 and Main exam will be held on 5th August 2018.

 

Fee Details: Candidates will be required to pay the requisite application fee. The payment can be made online through credit/debit/net banking methods. For General and OBC category candidates will have to pay Rs 600/- and those belonging to SC/ST/PWD/XS category will have to pay Rs 100/-.

 

 SBI Clerk Examination Pattern:

1)    Preliminary Exam Pattern

SBI Junior Associates Preliminary exam will be conducted through CBT (Computer Based Test). The duration of exam shall be One hour. Online CBT test will be held on 23rd, 24th & 30th June 2018. Questions will be Objective Type (Multiple Choice and Reason-Assertion type) will be provided either in English or in local language according to the choice of candidates. For each correct answer will get score of one mark. For each wrong answer 1/4 mark will be deducted. The SBI Junior Associates Preliminary exam consist of 100 questions, with 35 questions asked each from Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability, and 30 questions from English Language.

 

2)    Main Exam Pattern

SBI Junior Associates Main exam will be conducted through CBT (Computer Based Test). The duration of exam shall be Two hours 40 minutes. Online CBT test will be held on 5th August 2018. Questions will be Objective Type (Multiple Choice and Reason-Assertion type) will be provided either in English or in local language according to the choice of candidates. For each correct answer will get score of one mark. For each wrong answer 1/4 mark will be deducted. The SBI Junior Associates Main exam consist of 190 questions, with 50 questions asked each from General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and 40 questions from General English Language.

 

3) Test of specified opted local language: Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted language will not be subjected to any language test. In case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates not found to be proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.

 

Final selection: The marks obtained in the Preliminary examination will not be added for the selection and only the aggregate marks obtained in Main examination will be considered for preparation of the final merit list.

 

SBI Junior Associates Examination Syllabus:

Quantitative Ability: Number System, Sequence & Series, Profit & Loss, Simplification, Mixtures & Allegations, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Work & Time, Time & Distance, Mensuration – Cylinder, Cone, Sphere, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Averages, Quadratic equations, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Permutation, Combination & Probability.

English Language: Sentence Improvement, Fill in the blanks, Reading Comprehension including synonyms and antonyms, Para jumbles, Cloze Test, Error Spotting, Phrase Replacement.

Reasoning: Verbal Reasoning, Series, Analogy, Syllogism, Puzzle, Circular Seating Arrangement, Linear Seating Arrangement, Double Lineup, Scheduling, Blood Relations, Machine Input Output, Coding and Decoding, Directions and Distances, Data Sufficiency, Ordering and Ranking, Code Inequalities.

General Awareness: Financial Awareness, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Static Awareness, Banking and Financial Awareness, Govt. Schemes and Policies.

Computer Awareness: Internet, Memory, Keyboard Shortcuts, Computer Abbreviations, Microsoft Office, Computer Hardware and Software, Operating System, Networking, Computer Fundamentals/Terminologies, DBMS.

 

SBI Junior Associates Eligibility Criteria:

(A)  Essential Academic Qualifications: (AS ON 01.01.2018):

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.01.2018. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01.01.2018. Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply.

 

(B)   Age Limit: (As on 01.01.2018):

Not below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.01.2018 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 01.01.1998 and not earlier than 02.01.1990 (both days inclusive)

 

Relaxation of Upper age limit:
Age relaxation of SC/ST - 5 Years, Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) - 3 Years, Persons With Disabilities (PWD) - PWD (SC/ST)-15 Years, PWD (OBC)- 13 Years and PWD (Gen) - 10 Years, Ex Servicemen, Commissioned officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from the last date of receipt of application) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or physical disability attributable to military service or invalidment - 5 Years .
